The biggest barra ended up being the first fish out of the water – a 69cm bruiser caught by yours truly. It was an exhilarating fight to get him in the boat (I know it was a he because all barramundi under 80cm are male, when they get bigger they turn into females – go figure?!). Dennis caught the most fish by a long way and kept catching little guys all day as well as scoring a 56cm barra (and, of course, the HUGE one that “got away”). But I caught another big barra (66cm) and then another small one for most Barra caught. Winner! Even the crocodiles were cheering.

And now from the crocodile man (but beware tales of large fish that got away)......
Congratulations Stephanie an outstanding performance, looks like dinner on me in Kunnunara. Now we are off to the West again for more adventure.
Hi Stephanie and Dennis, yeah yeah sure !! we have that same plastic barra that you buy at red dot hanging in our trailer too...... looks good on the small screen.....huh?
ReplyDeleteWe are sitting in our tin trailer in Karratha out of the rain (legs down)and heading to Tom Price in the morning.
We are finally on the road again (told the kids we were going away for the weekend 3 weeks ago).
