NEWS FLASH: Beard Goes

The Bush Tucker Man has decided the time has come to shave off his beard.  Too much teasing at the Bagwana I suspect, although he claims to have grown tired of constantly finding yesterday's dinner in his whiskers.

This picture not only demonstrates the clean shaven look of my favourite bushman, but also his total exhaustion after his latest training effort.  Yesterday we did a 21km trek to the top of St Mary's Peak, the highest peak around Wilpena Gorge.  He was a legend and at the conclusion advised me that it was "a piece of piss for a trained digger".  (He's a bit grumpy today, but claims there is no connection.)  Anyway, he was a great sport, because the walk was advertised (by me) as 14km but we took a wrong turn and went the long way.

Back to the beard.....or absense of one.  We agree that the clean shaven look does make him look younger, and that's a good thing  because tomorrow (probably today by the time you receive this) Dennis turns 59!  We are going out to lunch at Parachilna to enjoy their famous "Road Kill Feral Mixed Grill".  They tell us that you can get Telstra 3G reception if you stand in exactly the right spot in the middle of the road outside the pub.....but I suspect you will have trouble getting through.  However, we expect lots of messages of good wishes (use my number 0414 924 846).  This means you Shane!!
