This is a brief post to let you know that we have had some very devastating news. My beautiful sister Julie, who many of you have met, was struck by a car while running near her home two days ago. She died in hospital an hour later. We found out last night, but I think I am only starting to realise that it is true in the last couple of hours.
Fortunately my mother is visiting us from Canada. I couldn't bear it if I thought she was having to face this alone. Dennis, Mum and I will fly to England for the funeral which is expected to be sometime after Christmas. Mum will fly home from England and Dennis and I will come back to Perth.
I'm sure everyone will understand if the blog is temporarily put on hold - it just doesn't seem the right forum to discuss how we are feeling.
